Dave Bautista will team with filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan on the latter’s next feature “Knock at the Cabin”.
The project will mark Shyamalan’s fifth feature with Universal Pictures and, like the others, it’s expected to be independently financed by the filmmaker who will have complete creative control.
Specifics of the new film are under wraps, all that’s known is Shyamalan will write and direct and the movie will open on February 3rd 2023.
Bautista was most recently seen in Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead” and Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune”. Earlier this year he completed filming Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out 2” and is currently shooting James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” through until March/April next year.
It’s likely he’ll film the Shyamalan feature shortly after before getting to work on Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” which starts shooting in July. Bautista is also attached to a buddy cop film alongside Jason Momoa at MGM but that is still in early development.
