Uma Thurman has been cast as businesswoman Arianna Huffington in the Showtime seasonal anthology series “Super Pumped”.
The first season is based Mike Isaac’s book of the same name and charts the rise of Uber as it covers the tumultuous relationship between CEO and co-founder Travis Kalanick (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and his mentor Bill Gurley (Kyle Chandler) along with the upstart transportation company’s roller-coaster early days.
Huffington is the co-founder of The Huffington Post and was an Uber board member. The cast of the series also includes Elisabeth Shue, Kerry Bishé, Jon Bass, Bridget Gao Hollitt, and Babak Tafti.
Beth Schacter and “Billions” creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien serve as writers, executive producers, and showrunners. Allen Coulter will direct the first episode.
