The Mandalorian S3 Starts Production
Disney+

Actor Carl Weathers has confirmed via Twitter that production is finally underway on the much-anticipated third season of “The Mandalorian” for the Disney+ service.

Weathers will be reprising his role as Greef Karga and is also expected to direct another episode in the next season. Shooting was initially planned for April but was delayed because the stages in Los Angeles were being used for the production of “Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi” which finally wrapped last month.

Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito are the only confirmed returning cast members for the third season. Series star Pedro Pascal is expected to return to voice the titular character but won’t be under the helmet this season due to his filming commitments to HBO’s “The Last of Us” series.

The show’s first spin-off “The Book of Boba Fett” will premiere on December 29th this year with the new season of “Mandalorian” returning sometime next year.
