Marvel has officially released a final poster for “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” on its social media feeds, this one showing off Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the new Captain America in his full costume.
In addition, Marvel has released photos of a bunch of toys to be released in stores with Sam’s new outfit. The series’ whole theme was built on Sam’s acceptance of the role ahead of a fourth “Captain America” film which Marvel waited only about twelve hours after the finale was live to announce it with Mackie in the part.
Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, who worked on the series, are tackling the new film’s script. Overall reaction to “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” was decidedly soft compared to “WandaVision” before it, and the finale – like “WandaVision” – once again divided those who were onboard to the end.
The full six-episode season of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” is now online on the Disney+ service.
