The first two promo teasers have been launched for the Paramount+ service, the upcoming rebranding, expansion and relaunching of the CBS All Access service.
Narrated by Patrick Stewart, the two thirty-second spots feature characters like Anson Mount’s Captain Pike from “Star Trek: Discovery,” Dora the Explorer, Beavis & Butthead, and people like talk show host James Corden, reality host Jeff Probst and Snooki from “Jersey Shore”.
Paramount+ will not only feature original content as well as shows from CBS like before, but is also expanding to include library content from networks such as MTV, Comedy Central, BET, Paramount Network and Nickelodeon. While Showtime will continue to operate separately, some of its content will jump to the new service.
Further details on what to expect will arrive in mid-February. CBS All Access and Showtime together have 13.5 million subscribers at present, up by 50% from the same quarter last year.
