Key cast and crew of Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” have confirmed that filming on the new MCU feature has wrapped.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton took to Instagram to announce the wrapping, as did the film’s star Simu Liu who shared an Instagram photo of himself with Cretton.
The project initially began shooting in February in Sydney, Australia before shutting down a few weeks later due to the coronavirus pandemic. Filming didn’t resume until August where it has been shooting ever since.
While much of the cast and crew flew out, Simu Liu stayed in Sydney and has been there for most of the year. Tony Leung, Awkwafina and Florian Munteanu co-star in the feature which is currently targeting a July 9th 2021 release.
