The trailer has been released for the movie making comedy “The Comeback Trail” starring Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones, Eddie Griffin, Emile Hirsch and Zach Braff.
Based on Harry Hurwitz’s 1982 film of the same name and set in 1974 in Los Angeles, De Niro plays disheveled producer Max Barber.
In order to get a mobster (Freeman) off his back, decides to make a Western starring the washed-up Duke Montana (Jones) in order to ‘accidentally’ kill him during a stunt and collect on the life insurance.
There’s one problem – Duke is apparently immortal as he survives a daily game of Russian Roulette, a fall into a massive canyon and being engulfed in flames.
George Gallo directs from a script he wrote with Josh Posner, and the film opens November 13th.
