Several TV series and films in China have reportedly restarted production, the restart coming just weeks after everything was shut down due to COVID-19.
The restarts include Zhang Yimou’s new spy thriller film “Impasse” and the TV series “Legend of Fei” starring Zhao Liying and Wang Yibo. Chinese state media reports that five stages at the Hengdian studios complex near Hangzhou have been back in action since March 28th.
“Impasse” had a 50-day hiatus and is now back at work in Datong, Shanxi Province. Another that is back in action is the TV series “Game Changer,” with Hishow Entertainment head Wang Haiyi saying the entire cast and crew spent six weeks of lockdown in three hotels in an area not heavily affected by the virus.
As a result they were able to restart production at the beginning of March.
