Disgraced and incarcerated movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus in prison.
The Press Republican (via Page Six) broke the report, saying the 68-year-old former studio chief is in isolation at the Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo.
The State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision wouldn’t confirm the report and has cited federal health-care privacy law. However, they have confirmed that two inmates at Wende had the coronavirus.
Weinstein is serving a 23-year sentence for rape and sexual assault, his recent trial attracted worldwide attention. Weinstein was put into the state prison system last week following his sentencing at a Manhattan courtroom. It is reportedly believed Weinstein was positive for the virus when he entered the system.
