2019 Sag And Eddie Nominees Announced

This year’s Screen Actors Guild and American Cinema Editors awards – aka the SAG Awards and the Eddies – have announced the nominees for the 2019 film and TV slate crop.

The Eddies will see “Ford v Ferrari,” “Joker,” “The Irishman,” “Marriage Story” and “Parasite” are up for the ACE Eddie top feature film drama award. “Dolemite Is My Name,” “The Farewell,” “Jojo Rabbit,” “Knives Out” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” are up for comedy.

“Frozen 2,” “I Lost My Body” and “Toy Story 4” are competing for animated while “American Factory,” “Apollo 11,” “Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice” and “Making Waves: The Art of Cinematic Sound” are up for editing.

Over at the SAGs, Christian Bale (“Ford v Ferrari”), Leonardo DiCaprio (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”), Adam Driver (“Marriage Story”), Taron Egerton (“Rocketman”), Joaquin Phoenix (“Joker”) are competing for best film actor. Cynthia Erivo (“Harriet”), Scarlett Johansson (“Marriage Story”), Lupita Nyong’o (“Us”), Charlize Theron (“Bombshell”) and Renee Zellweger (“Judy”) are vying for best actress.

In supporting roles Jamie Foxx (“Just Mercy”), Tom Hanks (“A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”), Al Pacino (“The Irishman”), Joe Pesci (“The Irishman”) and Brad Pitt (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”) compete for the men. Laura Dern (“Marriage Story”), Scarlett Johansson (“Jojo Rabbit”),
Nicole Kidman (“Bombshell”), Jennifer Lopez (“Hustlers”) and Margot Robbie (“Bombshell”) are the female nominees.

Best overall cast award is between “Bombshell”, “The Irishman,” “Jojo Rabbit,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” and “Parasite”. The full list of SAG nominees are here, of ACE nominees are here.
