H Collective Announces Slate & “xXx 4”

Several veteran producers have teamed to form The H Collective, a new film financing, production, marketing and distribution company with numerous projects in the works.

The most notable is a fourth film in the Vin Diesel-led “xXx” action franchise. The third film in the “xXx” series, “xXx: Return of Xander Cage,” opened in January and has grossed $346 million worldwide.

The H Collective will finance the new film, which will be produced by Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum, and have acquired all rights excluding TV and U.S. theme park rights. The producing pair, along with Sid Ganis, Nancy Hult Ganis, Mark Johnson, are the five behind this new company.

The H Collective plans to finance four projects per year in a wide mix of budgets and genres including family/comedy, action adventure, horror and prestige. The company also has an exclusive partnership with Chinese entertainment conglomerate Beijing Culture.

Other projects on their slate include:

– The Aaron Paul-led “The Parts You Lose” about a young deaf boy who comes across a wounded and dangerous man in a snowdrift. An unlikely friendship develops between the two, one which will have grave consequences.

– “Wanted” director Timur Bekmambetov and writer Derek Haas re-teaming on action-comedy “Three Sisters” starring Ruby Rose.
