Netflix has officially announced how many people have watched Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” in a new tweet published via the streaming service’s social media channels.
The long-in-development and very well reviewed $175 million crime epic was reportedly watched by 26.4 million accounts globally within its first 7 days on Netflix. That number counts viewers who complete at least 70% of the film.
That number is also just accounts, not viewers, meaning that there’s at least one viewer per account and often two or more. That number isn’t as high as the Sandra Bullock-led “Bird Box” which was reportedly watched by 45 million accounts within its first week.
