Unlike past crossovers of The CW’s DC series, this year’s five-part “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event was split into two separate chunks as opposed to airing across one week.
Whether that strategy has worked is unclear, though it definitely feels like some of the momentum has been lost since the first three episodes aired last month. In any case, the remaining two parts air back-to-back this Tuesday (January 14th) and now a trailer for those episodes is online.
The new episodes come ahead of the new season of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” which begins proper the following Tuesday (January 21st) along with the mid-season return of the other DC shows.
“Arrow” however is in the unique position of only having two more episodes left before it wraps. The second last episode, to air on the 21st, will be the backdoor pilot for the “Green Arrow and the Canaries” spin-off following the ‘future kids’ and won’t include Oliver Queen at all as it’s set in 2040.
The “Arrow” series finale itself, titled “Fadeout,” airs January 28th and specifics of the episode are under wraps – suggesting it’s likely Amell’s Oliver Queen may not survive ‘Crisis’.
