Netflix

Oscar winner Alicia Vikander, Emmy nominee Taron Egerton and James McAvoy are all set to star in “The Thick of It” and “Veep” creator Armando Iannucci’s next feature.

Details for the project are being kept top secret, other than it being described as a conspiracy thriller.

Known for his iconic dialogue and characters, political-comedy master Iannucci scored an Oscar nomination for his script for 2009’s “In the Loop” which he also directed.

This would mark his fourth film following that, 2017’s “The Death of Stalin” and 2019’s “The Personal History of David Copperfield”. He also co-created “I’m Alan Partridge” and created HBO’s “Avenue 5”.

BAFTA-winning producer Kevin Loader is also back, while FilmNation and UTA are handling sales heading into the American Film Market.

McAvoy currently has his feature directorial debut “California Schemin'” in cinemas, Vikander recently appeared in “Hope,” and Egerton scored raves for the Toronto-premiering “Everybody Wants to F–k Me”.
