Jonathan Tucker, having transformed himself from skinny kid to muscular dynamo, is heading for DreamWorks “The Ruins” reports Reuters.
Based on the best-selling Scott B. Smith thriller novel, Tucker will star as Jeff, a go-getter premed student whose leisurely Mexican holiday with friends takes a turn for the worse.
Jeff persuades them to accompany a fellow tourist on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins.
Smith wrote the screenplay. Principal photography begins in late May in Queensland, Australia.
