Gary Winick (“Charlotte’s Web,” “13 Going on 30”) is finally confirmed to direct Summit Entertainment and Applehead Pictures comedy “Rat Bastard” says Variety.
The Heather McGowan-scripted comedy follows a conman who plots revenge when his old partner steals the loot from their latest grift and hides out by posing as a chef for a family on New York’s Upper East Side.
Niels Mueller is performing a rewrite on the script. Ellen Barkin and Caroline Kaplan are producing and shooting is scheduled to begin early next year.
