Angela Bassett has signed on to join the cast of Martin Campbell’s comic adaptation “Green Lantern” for Warner Bros. Pictures reports Variety.
Bassett will play Dr. Amanda Waller, a scientist and covert government bureaucrat who has long been a part of the DC Comics universe. CCH Pounder voiced the character in the animated “Justice League” series, while Pam Grier portrayed the role in a recent episode of “Smallville”.
Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins and Mark Strong all star in the film which is currently shooting in New Orleans.
