Comedian Mike Myers has indicated that a fourth film in the “Austin Powers” franchise is happening.
Appearing on Trevor Noah’s World Cup Watch Party, Myers was asked by a dan “Are we ever going to see an Austin Powers 4?”. He gave a single-word reply: “Yes!”.
Noah pointed out “wow, that was a quick yes!” but Myers didn’t elaborate further. Myers played the iconic British spy character across three films from 1997-2003 – pulling in $670 million across the franchise.
Myers hasn’t led a live-action comedy since 2008 flop “The Love Guru” though has popped up in films ranging from “Inglourious Basterds” and “Bohemian Rhapsody,” to “Amsterdam” and “Michael” earlier this year.
Myers reprised his “Austin Powers” nemesis character Dr. Evil for a Verizon commercial the other day which can be seen below.
Myers previously indicated back in 2024 he’d like to tell an “Austin Powers” story from the point of view from Dr. Evil’s point of view.
