“Lessons In Chemistry” Apple Series Trailer

Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for its new Brie Larson-led series “Lessons In Chemistry” based on the debut novel of the same name by Bonnie Garmus.

Set in the early 1950s, the story follows Elizabeth Zott, whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society that deems that women belong in the domestic sphere, not the professional one.

When Elizabeth finds herself pregnant, alone and fired from her lab, she musters the ingenuity only a single mother has – she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show.

She soon sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes whilst craving a return to her true love: science.

Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker, and Thomas Mann co-star. Larson has a busy year ahead and will be seen in both Universal’s “Fast X” and Marvel Studios’ “The Marvels”.

“WeCrashed” writer/creator and six-time Emmy nominee Lee Eisenberg serves as showrunner whilst Larson, Susannah Grant, Louise Shore, Natalie Sandy, Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan co-executive produce the series.

The series debuts exclusively on the Apple TV+ in the Fall with no specific date yet announced.
