Blumhouse, Epix Team For Horror Film Slate

Epix and Blumhouse have set a new partnership that will see Blumhouse Television develop and produce eight horror/genre-thriller movies exclusively for the network.

The first in this venture will be writer-director Alex McAulay’s “A House on the Bayou” with casting now underway.

That film follows a troubled couple and their preteen daughter who go on vacation to an isolated house in the Louisiana bayou to reconnect. When unexpected visitors arrive, their facade of family unity starts to unravel.

Shooting aims to begin in late Spring ahead of a December debut. Jason Blum will serve as executive producer on all the films with the remaining seven to debut in 2022.

Epix and Blumhouse previously partnered for the four-part docuseries “Fall River” which premieres on May 16th.
