CBS All Access has released a new 60-second promo for its pandemic apocalypse thriller mini-series “The Stand” based on Stephen King’s famous book.
Set in the wake of a pandemic which kills 99% of the world, the ten-episode miniseries sees a battle between Whoopi Goldberg as Mother Abagail – the figurehead of the Boulder Free Zone, and Alexander Skarsgard as Randall Flagg – the dark man who leads the sinister New Vegas.
James Marsden, Odessa Young, Jovan Adepo, Amber Heard, Heather Graham, Nat Wolff and more co-star in the series which hails from director Josh Boone. The series will be released on a weekly basis from December 17th.
