Emmanuelle Chriqui (“The Passage,” “Murder in the First”) is set to play famed DC character Lana Lang, a series regular opposite Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch in The CW’s “Superman & Lois” series.
The series revolves around the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist, played by Hoechlin and Tulloch, as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
Chriqui’s role of Lana Lang-Cushing is said to be a series regular and the loan officer at Smallville Bank who stayed in Smallville when others left for something bigger and brighter.
She re-establishes her friendship with her old friend, Clark Kent, during one of the most difficult periods in her life. Kristin Kreuk played the role across seven of the ten season-long run of “Smallville”.
The new series hails from “The Flash” executive producer Todd Helbing, Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros. TV.
