Scorsese’s “Irishman” Wraps Filming

Martin Scorsese has finally wrapped filming on his latest feature “The Irishman” starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci.

Based on Charles Brandt’s novel “I Heard You Paint Houses,” the story follows mob hitman Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran who was allegedly involved in the death Jimmy Hoffa.

The story’s narrative is reportedly set in two time periods, with De Niro, Pacino, and Pesci being digitally de-aged which means the film will require extensive post-production. Additionally, Scorsese and editor Thelma Schoonmaker take time on their film edits and so the planned 2019 release remains on track for now.
