Jude Law is set to star alongside Rooney Mara in the pop star drama “Vox Lux” for Killer Films and Three Six Zero Entertainment.
Actor turned filmmaker Brady Corbet (“The Childhood of a Leader,” “Simon Killer”) is set to helm the project which follows the fifteen-year odyssey of artist Celeste as she rises from the ashes of a major national tragedy to pop superstardom.
Jumping between 1999 and the present day, the film also follows the important cultural revolutions of the 21st Century through her eyes. Law will play Celeste’s manager in the film.
The project will be shot on 65mm large-format film and exhibit on 70mm large-format film, while the soundtrack will sport all original songs written by Grammy-nominated artist Sia. Brian Young, Christine Vachon and David Hinojosa will produce.
