The first trailer is out for “Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge,” a new R-rated animated feature from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment that goes back to the basics of this franchise.
The heroes of Earth versus the worst that Outworld, Netherrealm, and others have to offer in this transdimensional tournament to decide the fate of all worlds. Lord Raiden, protector of Earthrealm, must gather the greatest fighters of his realm to defend it from the evil Shang Tsung in the battle to end all battles.
The cast includes Joel McHale as Johnny Cage, Jennifer Carpenter as Sonya Blade, Jordan Rodrigues as Scorpion & Hanzo Hasashi, Steve Blum as Sub-Zero, Artt Butler as Shang Tsung, Darin De Paul as Quan Chi, Robin Atkin Downes as Kano, David B. Mitchell as Raiden, Ike Amadi as Jax Briggs, Kevin Michael Richardson as Goro, Grey Griffin as Kitana & Satoshi Hasashi, and Fred Tatasciore as Demon Torturer.
Ethan Spaulding (“Batman: Assault on Arkham”) is directing and while Jeremy Adams (“Teen Titans Go! “) wrote the script. “Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge” hits home video this spring.
