“Heated Rivalry” breakout Connor Storrie is in talks to play a villain opposite Ryan Gosling in the “Ghost Rider” film at Marvel Studios reports THR.
Shawn Levy is directing the project, which reunites him with fellow Canadian Gosling after the pair worked on “Star Wars: Starfighter” opening next year. Screenwriter Jonathan Tropper is also returning with them.
It has also been revealed that “Dune: Part Three” cinematographer Linus Sandgren has boarded the project as director of photography. Sandgren will also reportedly shoot the movie on film.
It’s expected Gosling is playing Johnny Blaze, although Marvel has not officially confirmed that (there have been several variations of Ghost Rider over the years). It is not known which character Storrie would be playing.
The production is already ramping up to shoot in New York next year with the title getting a July 28th 2028 release date for the moment.
Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling will produce.
