Filmmaker Steven Soderbergh has two films out this year, from the sports representation drama “High Flying Bird” earlier this year to this Fall’s ensemble true-story drama “The Laundromat” about the Panama Papers scandal. Both films are Netflix originals.
Now though, The Playlist reports that the filmmaker is already in the midst of shooting his next film, a secret project titled “Let Them All Talk” which began shooting this week in New York and boasts a cast that includes Meryl Streep and “Crazy Rich Asians” actress Gemma Chan.
Plot specifics are under wraps but Soderbergh’s film will be the first to use the new RED Komodo Dragon cameras which were rushed to production and finished just before shooting began. These same Komodo cameras will be used on David Fincher’s new Netflix movie “Mank”.
No distributor is yet signed though several studios and streaming platforms are said to be readying for a bidding war for the project.
