Two of the more interesting rumors reported on last week have both been shot down.
First up, Michael Rooker will not be appearing as King Shark or any other character in the upcoming James Gunn-directed “The Suicide Squad”. Rooker himself used Instagram to dispel the report saying: “DA………..NOT!!!… This is not true news… I am not cast in this movie.”
Rooker has been a go to hire for Gunn in the past so the potential casting wasn’t out of left field. Rooker does appear in the Gunn-produced “Brightburn” opening this month.
The other report last week related to “The Matrix” franchise with a suggestion from “John Wick: Chapter 3” director Chad Stahelski, who was also Keanu Reeves’ stunt double on the original ‘Matrix’ trilogy, that the Wachowskis are currently working on a fourth ‘Matrix’ movie.
A representative for Stahelski reached out to Slash Film to further clarify and state that the Wachowskis are not attached to a new ‘Matrix’ film.
