Details On Hulu’s Looksmaxxing Documentary

Earlier this year came the news that 20-year-old online influencer Braden ‘Clavicular’ Peters had gotten into a legal and media dust-up with Disney over an upcoming docuseries.

It began in February, when documentarians tried to film him backstage without permission at an Elena Velez fashion show in New York during his catwalk debut, leading to a cease-and-desist order.

Today, THR has revealed actual information on the doco, which will be a three-part true-crime documentary series titled “Get Huge: Looksmaxxing to Death”.

According to the trade, the documentary was never about Peters but rather dealt with the dangerous and competitive worlds of looksmaxxing and social media.

Peters is the most famous individual on that scene, but his likeness is reportedly only used briefly. A mysterious and unrelated death in Thailand, that has nothing to do with him, is the central focus of the series.

Stacey Lee directs the series, which is said to offer “an unflinching portrait of masculinity in the influencer age, where extreme biohacking, online performance and a series of suspicious deaths converge.” The official synopsis reads as follows:

“Deep in the manosphere, an underground movement promises to unlock human potential – bulging muscles, bigger penises, eternal youth. At its centre is Dr Tony Huge, a guru pushing homemade biohacks on a devoted following willing to risk everything for the cause. When Leo & Longevity, a penis-enlargement expert and one of Tony’s closest allies, is found dead in Thailand, alpha-male influencers become online sleuths, running wild with theories and questioning Tony Huge and his right-hand man, Connor Murphy. Soon, a darker pattern emerges: Leo isn’t the first of the inner circle to die under mysterious circumstances. Will he be the last?”

The series debuts November 10th on Hulu in the U.S. and will stream on Disney+ internationally.
