Wonder Woman 1984
A new photo is out from “Wonder Woman 1984” as Gal Gadot’s Diana, Princess of Themyscira, picks up and shakes down a ruffian or some overgrown rude skateboarder in a 1980s shopping mall. Patty Jenkins helms the film which also stars Chris Pine returning as Steve Trevor, as well as Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal. “Wonder Woman 1984” opens in cinemas on June 5th 2020. [Source: Twitter]
Netflix has renewed the Michael B. Jordan-produced superhero family drama “Raising Dion” for a second season with eight more episodes to be produced this year. Alisha Wainwright and Ja’Siah Young star and Jordan recurs in the series about a woman who raises her son Dion after the death of her husband Mark (Jordan) – a boy who starts to manifest several magical, superhero-like abilities. “Little Women” and “Lady Bird” filmmaker Greta Gerwig says she is currently developing a musical film which will have tap dancing as a key element, something she says “the world is really missing” right now. The recent “Cats” boasted a tap-dancing number, but otherwise film has generally avoided inclusions of tap dancing in recent decades aside from the occasional outlier. [Source: Variety]
CBS All Access has dropped a new 30-second commercial for “Star Trek: Picard” which premieres January 23rd. The clip includes a bunch of new footage here, including a better look at the overall sinister scheme unfolding that ties into Picard’s efforts to help a young woman.
Also today, Netflix has released the official sixth season trailer its comedy series “Grace and Frankie” starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. The new episodes arrive January 15th ahead of a seventh and final season which has already been ordered.
