Chris Hemsworth and Sam Rockwell are set to star in the meta-action-comedy “Stuntnuts” to be helmed by “Kingsman” and “Layer Cake” filmmaker Matthew Vaughn.
The story follows two gifted stunt performers who take jobs on a massive Hollywood blockbuster in a desperate bid to save their community gym.
But as the production spirals spectacularly out of control, fueled by increasingly dangerous stunts and the dueling egos of its leading men, saving the gym may prove to be the least of their problems.
Both Hemsworth and Rockwell will play heightened versions of themselves in the project which is set to be one of the biggest projects on sale at AFM. Matt Damon is also reportedly making a cameo in the film.
Patrick Wachsberger‘s Legendary banner 193 is behind the project which was first named “The Stuntman” which it was first mentioned back in 2024.
Numerous real-life stunties will feature including Hemsworth’s real-life stunt double Bobby Holland Hanton, Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man stuntdouble Greg Townley, “Game of Thrones” alum Paul Lowe, and “The Matrix” stuntman Hakura Oshima.
Damien Walters, who won an Actor Award for his stunt work on “Skyfall,” will direct the film – his second after the upcoming UK action feature “School Fight”.
