Huston, Caviezel, Elwes Coming To TV

With filming on pilot season in full swing, a lot of famous film actors are signing up for leading roles in various small screen offerings. Here’s just the latest batch of signings this week listed below.

Anjelica Huston has signed on for a role in NBC’s drama about the making of a Broadway show. Huston will play one of the show’s producers opposite Debra Messing, Christian Borle and Katherine McPhee.

Person of Interest
The much-anticipated pilot from J.J. Abrams and Jonah Nolan has cast Jim Caviezel as a presumed-dead former CIA agent who resurfaces and teams up with a reclusive billionaire (Michael Emerson) to prevent crime in New York. Taraji P. Henson also stars.

Wonder Woman
Cary Elwes has joined the David E. Kelly-produced reboot of the character. He’ll play the loyal CEO of Diana Prince’s company.

Prime Suspect
Aidan Quinn has signed on to play the boss to lead Maria Bello in this remake of the acclaimed British mini-series.

17th Precinct
Battlestar Galactica creator Ronald D. Moore’s newest series, a cop drama set in a world where the mystical rules over the scientific, will feature at least three of his former cast members – Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer. Also onboard is Stockard Channing and Eamonn Walker.
