The second season of Amazon Prime’s “The Terminal List” arrived this week, and star Chris Pratt says he’s very much committed to the series.
Pratt stars as James Reece who, in the first season, sought justice for his murdered SEAL team. The first season adapted author Jack Carr’s first book in the series while the second season adapts the second novel, “True Believer”.
Carr has published seven books in the series so far, with an eighth coming next year – meaning there’s enough material for numerous seasons, not to mention spin-offs like last year’s Taylor Kitsch-led “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf”.
Speaking with SiriusXM’s Shade 45 (Via Men’s Journal), Pratt confirms there’s “no shortage of source material” and there’s a desire there to do more: “I think success in this season would certainly be helpful to continue to tell these stories. There’s nothing official yet, but man, we have a lot of ideas.”
Co-star Tom Hopper says he’s keen to see the third novel adapted: “I want to make Savage Son. I think Savage Son has a story.”
Pratt is committed to the franchise, telling Coming Soon: “James Reece’s last mission is going to be he’s going to eat a steak without his dentures in. Sorry, Amazon, this is for life.” He also says he’s keen for another spin-off: “a lot of these supporting characters that deserve their own stories,” such as the Hastings family.
Critics scores for the second season have decidedly improved on the first but still run mixed/positive. Audience review aggregate scores so far seem to be a little lower than the first season.
