“Days Gone” Delayed A Full Year

Bend Studio’s “Days Gone,” a PS4 exclusive game originally slated for release sometime in 2018, has been pushed back by a year with Sony confirming to GameSpot the title won’t be released until sometime well into 2019.

No reason given as to why the game was delayed, however creator Bend Studio has been ramping up development for the game, and recently hired more senior development staff members such as lead designers and artists.

Set in a post-apocalyptic open world two years after a global pandemic, the game is played from a third-person perspective. You play Deacon St. John (Sam Witwer), a drifter and former bounty hunter who prefers life on the road to wilderness encampments to avoid the millions of mindless zombie-like creatures called ‘Freakers’.

More from the title will be shown at this year’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco next week.
