Nicholas Hoult (“Warm Bodies,” “Jack the Giant Slayer”) has joined the cast of Gilles Paquet-Brenner’s adaptation of the Gillian Flynn mystery novel “Dark Places”.

The story follows a woman (Charlize Theron) forced to re-face the massacre of her family over two decades before. Hoult would play a an awkward young man Lyle, the treasurer of a club investigating the killing. [Source: Deadline]

He was previously rumored, now Matthew McConaughey has confirmed he has accepted the lead role in Christoper Nolan’s sci-fi epic “Interstellar”.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown
Addison Timlin (“Californication”) has joined the cast of Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s remake of the true story horror classic “The Town That Dreaded Sundown”.

Timlin plays Jami, a girl who survives a copycat massacre at the film’s annual tribute screening and sets out to solve the mystery of who’s recreating the unsolved Sackhead murders, using clues from her own past. [Source: Deadline]

The Judge
Leighton Meester (“Gossip Girl”) and Jeremy Strong (“Zero Dark Thirty” have joined David Dobkin’s comedy-drama “The Judge”. Strong will play the younger brother of Robert Downey Jr.’s lead character. Meester will play the daughter of Vera Farmiga’s character.

Downey plays an attorney returning to his hometown for his mother’s funeral. The only suspect in her murder is his estranged father – the town’s judge (Robert Duvall). [Source: Variety]
