Oscar-winning “Incredibles 2” and “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” director Brad Bird has revealed at the BAFTA Tea Party that his next film will be an original project of his which calls a “musical with about 20 minutes of animation in it”.
Speaking about the project, he says: “I don’t know anything about musicals so I figured I should do this, because I’m deathly afraid of it and that sounds like a cool thing. It’s a project I’ve been wanting to make for a long time, it’s got about 20 minutes of animation in it.”
His regular go-to composer Michael Giacchino will do the music for the project. What this means for his long-planned adaptation of James Dalessandro’s novel “1906” is unclear.
