Aaron Taylor-Johnson is set to team with his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson for a film adaptation of the James Frey novel “A Million Little Pieces”.
He would star and she would direct the film about a 23-year-old alcoholic and drug abuser and how he copes with rehabilitation in a twelve steps-oriented treatment center.
Initially promoted as a memoir, it was later discovered that many of the events described in the book never happened and it has since been rebranded a semi-fictional novel.
Warner Bros. Pictures shelved the project and CAA negotiated the release of the book’s rights. With the Taylor-Johnson’s attachment, the project is expected to be launched at the upcoming American Film Market.
