French acting legends Gerard Depardieu and Juliette Binoche are finally set to team up on screen in the new feature “Dark Glasses” from filmmaker Claire Denis.
France 3 (via The Playlist) reports that Depardieu and Binoche will be joined by Xavier Beauvois in the project which will start a seven week shoot this month and is targeting a late 2017 release.
Based on the book “A Lover’s Discourse” by Roland Barthes, the property deals with romance from a lover’s point of view and was previously adapted into a 2010 Hong Kong anthology film.
This project seems to have taken precedence over Denis’ in development sci-fi movie “High Life” starring Robert Pattinson, Patricia Arquette, and Mia Goth which was supposed to shoot this Spring.
