Benson Lee (“Miss Monday”) will adapt his 2007 award-winning breakdancing documentary “Planet B-Boy” into a feature film for Screen Gems says The Hollywood Reporter.
The doco focused on the international world of B-boying (aka. breakdancing) which has evolved and thrived underground in countries including Japan, South Korea, France and Germany.
Following dancers from several continents, it culminates in a competition for the title of world champion at the annual Battle of the Year finals in Berlin.
The feature will tell the story of a legendary b-boy crew that must return to its roots to reclaim the world championship by competing against the top international breakdancing teams.
Amy Lo, Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson will produce.
