Liev Schreiber has just joined the cast of the indie hockey feature “Goon” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Seann William Scott plays a former bouncer who leads an improbable team of hockey misfits to minor-league hockey glory.
Schreiber will play the legendary hockey enforcer Ross Reardon. Jay Baruchel, Alison Pill and Marc-Andre Grondin also star.
Michael Dowse directs from a script Evan Goldberg co-adapted with Baruchel from Doug Smith and Adam Frattasio’s non-fiction book. Shooting kicks off next week in Winnipeg.
