Jason Bateman is in negotiations to make his feature directing debut on the indie comedy “Bad Words” at Aggregate Films and Darko Entertainment reports Variety.
Bateman will likely play a bitter thirtysomething who uses a loophole in the system to enter a national kids’ spelling bee.
Andrew Dodge penned the screenplay while Bateman, Mason Novick, Sean McKittrick, Ted Hamm and Jeff Culotta will produce.
