Cinemax has begun development of the series “Blood and Ice” from “Banshee” director Ole Christian Madsen.
The show is being described as a American/Scandinavian, Western-inspired, near future action drama set around the icy climes of Greenland.
A series of brutal murders shatters the provincial calm as Chinese, Americans and Russians start pouring into the region in a race to control the vast natural resources hiding in the Arctic.
Madsen and Anders Thomas Jensen co-created the concept.
