Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are teaming for a new film version of the classic musical “Guys and Dolls” at 20th Century Fox.
Set in the 1920s and 1930s, Nathan Detroit (Tatum) has a town full of captive gamblers and wants to set up a floating crap game but needs money to do it.
He bets his pal Sky Masterson (Gordon-Levitt) that Sky can’t get the wholesome Sarah Brown – who runs a mission – to go with him to Havana.
The pair will take on the roles made famous by Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando in the previous 1955 film adaptation of the Tony award-winning 1950 stage musical which featured songs like “Luck Be A Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rocking The Boat”.
