He was a big part of Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel,” but Russell Crowe has confirmed he will not be returning – even in a cameo – for the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman” follow-up.
Crowe, who played Superman’s Kryptonian father Jor-El in the first film both in person in the Krypton-set scenes and as a hologram in Earth-set ones. His return in a cameo as a ‘holo-recording’ seems possible, but he tells Yahoo that no-one has called him yet:
“I don’t think they’re going to use me again. I think they’re jumping onto a different stream. They’re going with the different superhero worlds colliding [this time].”
