Lasse Hallstrom is attached to direct a biopic about America’s first billionaire, John D. Rockefeller, for Relativity.
Craig Borten (“Dallas Buyers Club”) is adapting the script from the book “Titan: The Life Of John D. Rockefeller” by Ron Chernow.
Rockefeller ruthlessly built the Standard Oil empire, spending decades dodging investigations into his business tactics. He ultimately turned into a philanthropist who gave away most of his fortune.
Matt Alvarez and Robert Kravis will produce.
