It’s not kicking off until January, but Marvel used last night’s episode of “Agents of SHIELD” to debut the first trailer for its eight-episode limited series “Agent Carter” starring Hayley Atwell. It’s very brief, but the period drama/thriller looks impressive as it shows Peggy Carter trying to clear the name of her friend Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) who has been framed.

Speaking of the show, actress Meagen Fay (“Murder In The First,” “Mad Men”) has joined the cast in a recurring role says Deadline. Fay will play the woman who runs the boarding house where Agent Carter (Atwell) lives in NYC and will appear in at least half of the show’s eight episodes.
