“Harley Quinn” Season 6 Still Not Greenlit

HBO Max

Actress Kaley Cuoco says that a sixth season of HBO Max’s acclaimed DC animated series “Harley Quinn” has not yet been confirmed.

Cuoco both plays the title character and executive produces the series, which began in 2019 and premiered its fifth season in January last year. Though it wrapped its run last March, the show has yet to be officially renewed for a sixth run.

Though coming before James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe, the series has survived the transition and earned praise from Gunn, along with getting a 2024 spin-off with “Kite Man: Hell Yeah!”.

Currently out promoting her new thriller series “Vanished,” Cuoco tells Screen Rant that those involved in the show all want to do it but they are waiting for the green light from the studio:

“We’re hoping to do it. I haven’t gotten it confirmed yet. We are really hoping to do it. There is a core fan base for this show, and people love it.

I’ll never forget when they gave me the [very] first episode… I was like, ‘Are we allowed to talk like this?’ It was so racy and so insane.

If we can get six done – I know that everyone wants to do it – if we can get that done, we are going to do it. That is a huge goal.”

Even if one comes through soon, the earliest the show could hit is sometime well into 2027. The series co-stars Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Ron Funches, Tony Hale, Diedrich Bader and James Adomian – the actors delivering memorable interpretations of iconic characters like Bane, Clayface, Poison Ivy, and King Shark.

Recurring actors have included Giancarlo Esposito, Alfred Molina, Stephen Fry, Harvey Guillén, Tom Hollander, Michael Ironside, Christopher Meloni, Scott Porter, Jim Rash, Aisha Tyler, Rahul Kohli, Tisha Campbell, and James Wolk.
