Throughout Greta Gerwig’s fantasy comedy “Barbie” movie, one can hear the voice of British acting legend Helen Mirren providing exposition and the odd joke.

Turns out, Mirren also appeared in the flesh for a post-credits scene which sadly was deleted before it hit cinemas as the final film has no end credits scene.

This new movie directed by Greta Gerwig stars Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken. This fantasy comedy film has been performing very well at the box. office with positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Although fans don’t have to wait till the end of the credits to see that there is no after-credits scene, the film nearly included one.

In a conversation with The Art of the Cut, the film’s editor Nick Houy showed off a photo featuring a break down of the entire film scene by scene on a corkboard.

In the bottom right are a number of deleted scenes with the most prominent being a post-credits one labeled ‘Midge in Labor’. In the photo for that scene, one can see Mirren herself in the shot helping Midge out.

Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott Evans, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Hari Nef, Will Ferrell, Helen Mirren, Dua Lipa and Emerald Fennell co-star in the film which is playing in cinemas everywhere.
