Prime Video has released the trailer for its original series “The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart” premiering on August 4th with the first three episodes followed by a weekly rollout of the remaining four episodes until the finale on September 1st.
Sigourney Weaver leads a solid cast alongside Alycia Debnam-Carey (“The 100”), Frankie Adams (“The Expanse”), Asher Keddie (“Nine Perfect Strangers”), Charlie Vickers (“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”), Leah Purcell (“Wentworth”) and Xavier Samuel (“Blonde”).
Based on Holly Ringland’s 2018 debut novel, the story begins when Alice Hart, aged 9, tragically loses her parents in a mysterious fire and she is taken to live with her grandmother June (Weaver) at Thornfield flower farm in the Australian outback.
She learns that there are secrets within secrets about her and her family’s past. As she grows, her journey builds to an emotional climax when she finds herself fighting for her life against a man she loves.
Amazon Studios, Made Up Stories and Fifth Season are backing the project, with Weaver serving as an executive producer alongside Jodi Matterson, Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky, showrunner Sarah Lambert and Glendyn Ivin who directs the entire run.
