“The Morning Show” Scores S4 Renewal

Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has renewed its high-profile “The Morning Show” for a fourth season. The series is the second most-watched Apple TV+ series after “Ted Lasso”.

The pickup order comes several months ahead of the season three airing of the Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon-led drama, which will kick off in the Fall.

The third season will see Jon Hamm and Nicole Beharie joining the cast as regulars – him playing a corporate titan with the UBA network in his sights, and she a new anchor on the show.

In addition, Tig Notaro, Stephen Fry and Natalie Morales will all have recurring parts, whilst Julianna Marguiles will reprise her role from the show’s second season which aired in late 2021.

Whilst the show’s second season was set during the early stages of the pandemic, the third season is expected to take place in more recent times.

The rest of the usual regulars are expected to be back, including its two headline stars along with Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell and more.

Charlotte Stoudt will serve as showrunner for season three, taking over for Kerry Ehrin, who steered the first two seasons. She executive produces Witherspoon, Aniston, Mimi Leder, Michael Ellenberg, Lauren Neustadter and Kristin Hahn executive produce.
